Barcelona’s Champions League schedule: Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain await
Barcelona will begin their 2026-27 UEFA Champions League campaign at home to Feyenoord before facing Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City in two of the standout fixtures from the league phase draw.
UEFA confirmed the fixture dates on Saturday, with Barcelona handed what appears to be a favourable opening match at Spotify Camp Nou on 9 September.
Their first major test will come away to Paris Saint-Germain on 20 October, while Manchester City will visit Barcelona on 8 December. The Catalan club will also face Galatasaray, Aston Villa, Qarabag, Sporting CP and Como during the league phase.
Barcelona’s complete schedule is:
– 9 September: Barcelona v Feyenoord Spotify Camp Nou
– 13 October: Galatasaray v Barcelona away
– 20 October: Paris Saint-Germain v Barcelona away
– 3 November: Barcelona v Aston Villa Spotify Camp Nou
– 25 November: Qarabag v Barcelona away
– 8 December: Barcelona v Manchester City Spotify Camp Nou
– 20 January: Sporting CP v Barcelona away
– 27 January: Barcelona v Como Spotify Camp Nou
The meetings with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City will provide Barcelona with their most demanding assignments in the opening phase of the competition. Both matches against those leading European clubs will be played before home supporters, although Barcelona must travel to Paris for their encounter with Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona also shared a message outlining their route through the competition:

The draw was conducted under the new UEFA Champions League format, which features 36 clubs in a single league phase rather than separate traditional groups.
Each team plays eight matches against eight different opponents. Those fixtures consist of two opponents from each seeding pot, with one match at home and one away against teams from each relevant category.
At the end of the league phase, the eight highest-ranked sides will qualify directly for the last 16. Teams finishing from ninth to 24th will enter a two-legged play-off, with the winners taking the remaining places in the last 16.
Clubs placed from 25th down to the final position will be eliminated from the competition. Unlike under the previous system, they will not drop into the UEFA Europa League.
Barcelona’s campaign therefore starts with a home fixture against Feyenoord before a demanding sequence that includes away matches at Galatasaray and Paris Saint-Germain. Aston Villa then travel to Spotify Camp Nou, followed by Barcelona’s visit to Qarabag.
The meeting with Manchester City comes in December and is one of the headline games on the schedule. Barcelona will then complete the league phase with an away match against Sporting CP on 20 January before hosting Como on 27 January.
