“It gives us hope and belief”- Madugu reflects on Nigeria’s strong displays vs Algeria

Interim Head Coach Justin Madugu has praised the Super Falcons of Nigeria for their impressive performances in recent friendlies against Algeria.
The nine-time African champions achieved consecutive victories against the Green Ladies, showcasing their potential ahead of upcoming competitions.
In their first encounter, held in Ikenne on Saturday, Nigeria secured a 2-0 win, with captain Rasheedat Ajibade netting both goals. The team followed up with a dominant 4-1 victory in the second match at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.
Following the games, an enthusiastic Madugu reiterated the valuable insights gained from the friendly matches.
“I commend the girls for their performance, especially considering we only had a few training sessions together. Their commitment and skill were evident on the pitch,” he stated.
Madugu expressed optimism about the future, adding, “These results give us hope and belief that we will have a more formidable Super Falcons going forward.”
His comments reflect a growing confidence in the team’s capabilities as they prepare for upcoming challenges.
