Nigeria boys and girls get similar opponents for WAFU-B African School Championship

Amidst the ongoing West Africa Zone B (WAFU-B) U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers, the draw for the 3rd edition of the African School Football Championship was conducted on Tuesday.

Nigeria boys will face Benin Republic and Cote d’Ivoire in the WAFU-B tournament.

The girls will also face the same opponents, Benin Republic and Cote with both teams in Group B.

Niger Republic, Burkina Faso, and Ghana will face off in Group A.

The third edition of WAFU-B African School Football Championship will be held from November 20 to 23, 2024, in Niamey, Niger Republic.

The winner of the boys and girls categories will qualify for the 2025 CAF African School Football Championship.

The dream of youngsters begin at this level with players going on to become Stars for their countries at international level.
