Paul Onuachu’s jersey breaks record in Belgian Pro League

Paul Onuachu’s jersey for KRC Genk has been ranked third in the record-breaking shirt sales for solidarity campaign.
The Super Eagles player’s jersey was among those that broke the Belgian Pro League record for charity jersey sales.
The Belgian league last Friday announced the results of the Christmas campaign revealing that Onuachu’s jersey was one of those that broke the record.
The former Midtjylland forward jersey was among the overall to initiate the wave of jersey sales in the fourteenth iteration of the campaign.
The latest edition of the iteration of the campaign smashed records with 155,000 euros raised, which is 3,000 more than the previous year.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, made Club Brugge’s jersey stand out by selling the most shirts and raising 3,700 euros. Followed by those of Wouter Vrancken’s men, Mike Trésor whose jersey had a 2,900 euros sale, and Onuachu with 2,850 euros.
To generate money for Christmas contributions, the player wearing jersey number 18 has, nevertheless, seen his jersey rank third via the campaign.
Onuachu has scored 15 league goals for Genk in 13 games this season. He has scored 70 goals in 99 matches for Genk and his goal-scoring form for the Belgian side is already attracting suitors from top European clubs.
