Real Madrid close in on Castilla deal for UD Logrones midfielder Latif Isman
Real Madrid are close to reaching an agreement to sign young midfielder Latif Isman from UD Logrones for their reserve side Castilla, with negotiations understood to have entered an advanced stage before the summer transfer window closes.
The proposed move is part of Real Madrid’s plan to strengthen Castilla with promising players who could eventually develop into first-team options. The club are continuing to work in the transfer market, but this deal is focused on building the next generation within their reserve structure.
According to Rafael Acevedo, a journalist on the programme El Chiringuito, discussions between Real Madrid and UD Logrones have progressed significantly. The two clubs have a good institutional relationship, and that could help the transfer be completed before the market shuts.
Isman is 19 and remains under contract with UD Logrones until 2027. His agreement reportedly contains a release clause worth about €500,000, meaning Real Madrid may have to pay that sum to secure his services if the Spanish club maintain their position over the future of their young player.
The midfielder attracted considerable attention during pre-season. He was one of nine players from the UD Logrones academy given the opportunity to feature for the first team, where his performances highlighted his potential and brought him to the attention of several Spanish clubs.
Isman’s versatility is regarded as one of his main strengths. He can operate as a defensive midfielder or take up a more advanced position, giving his team options in the centre of the pitch. He is also capable of winning possession, creating chances and making forward runs into the opposition penalty area.
Those qualities have helped establish him as one of the most notable talents to emerge from the UD Logrones academy in recent years. Real Madrid’s interest reflects the club’s continued focus on identifying players with the technical and physical attributes to progress through its development system.
The possible arrival of Isman would add another young option to Castilla as the reserve side pursue the longer-term objective of returning to Segunda Division. Real Madrid’s second team last achieved promotion to Spain’s second tier in 2012.
Castilla are being strengthened with players considered capable of competing for promotion while also continuing the club’s policy of preparing talented youngsters for higher-level football. Any agreement for Isman would therefore serve both immediate sporting ambitions and Real Madrid’s broader development project.
With negotiations now at an advanced stage and the release clause standing at around €500,000, the transfer could be decided before the end of the current summer window.
