Troost-Ekong celebrates Super Eagles’ victory over Ghana with culinary flair

Nigeria assistant captain, William Troost-Ekong, expressed his joy over Nigeria’s 2-1 victory against Ghana, despite being sidelined due to injury sustained at the AFCON.

Troost-Ekong celebrated the team’s long-awaited win over their arch-rivals by sharing an image of himself wearing a chef’s hat and holding a plate of steaming jollof rice.

In the thrilling match held in Marrakech, Cyriel Dessers and substitute Ademola Lookman scored for Nigeria, securing their first win against Ghana in 18 years. Jordan Ayew scored a late consolation goal for the Black Stars.

Troost-Ekong’s post on social media reflected his pride in the Super Eagles’ achievement, symbolized by the iconic Nigerian dish.

Following the victory, the 2023 AFCON Player of the Tournament posted an image of himself donning a chef’s hat while holding a plate of steaming jollof rice.
