Vozinha set for surprise move to Morocco’s RS Berkane

Vozinha is close to agreeing a move to Moroccan club RS Berkane, despite only recently joining Chilean side Colo-Colo.
The 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper is now negotiating the final details of a proposed deal to play for RS Berkane, according to Globo Esporte, citing journalist Rafael Puzio.
The development represents a significant change of direction for Vozinha, who had been expected to begin his next chapter in Chile after Colo-Colo announced his arrival in recent days.
Colo-Colo confirmed the goalkeeper’s signing on social media and published a photograph of him alongside the message: “Welcome, we are waiting for you at Estadio Monumental.”
However, Vozinha has postponed his planned arrival in Chile for a third time during the past few days. The repeated delays created uncertainty over whether the agreement with Colo-Colo would ultimately be completed.
He is now expected to travel to Morocco instead, where he would sign for RS Berkane if the remaining negotiations are concluded successfully.
The Moroccan club is also holding advanced talks with Cape Verde head coach Bubista. He led Cape Verde at the World Cup and is being considered for the managerial position at RS Berkane.
Once an agreement with Bubista has been completed, the club is expected to make a formal offer to Vozinha. According to Puzio, the goalkeeper is waiting for that official proposal before making a final decision about his future.
Vozinha’s move to RS Berkane is therefore dependent on the conclusion of several outstanding steps. The goalkeeper has not yet formally committed to the Moroccan club, but negotiations over the final terms are already under way.
The situation has changed rapidly since Colo-Colo announced the deal. The Chilean club’s public welcome suggested that the transfer was set to proceed, yet Vozinha’s delayed arrival left the agreement in doubt and opened the possibility of a move to Morocco.
While the goalkeeper considers the formal offer from RS Berkane, the club continues its discussions with Bubista. Should both negotiations reach a successful conclusion, Vozinha could join the Moroccan side after abandoning his planned move to Colo-Colo.
For now, the experienced Cape Verde international is waiting for the official proposal before deciding where he will continue his career.
