beIN SPORTS confirms coverage of Mohamed Salah’s Trabzonspor matches

Trabzonspor have completed the signing of Egypt international Mohamed Salah from Liverpool on a contract running until 2028, in a move that overturns expectations in the transfer market and brings the forward’s English career to an end.

The Turkish club officially announced the deal after a brief contest in which Besiktas had been widely expected to secure Salah’s signature. His arrival represents a major addition for Trabzonspor and begins a new chapter in the career of one of the leading figures in English football during recent seasons.

Salah will work under manager Fatih Tekke as Trabzonspor prepare for the start of the 2026-27 Turkish league campaign. Their opening fixture is against Kasımpasa on Saturday, 15 August.

The match will be Trabzonspor’s first league game of the new season, with the club beginning their domestic campaign at a time of significant attention following the announcement of Salah’s transfer.

beIN SPORTS has also confirmed that it will show the most important matches involving Salah and Trabzonspor in the Turkish league. Coverage will be available through the network’s television channels as well as its digital platforms.

The Qatari broadcaster made the announcement on its account on social media platform X, stating: “beIN intends to broadcast Mohamed Salah’s most important matches with Trabzonspor in the Turkish Premier League live and exclusively across its network of channels, in addition to its leading digital platform TOD by beIN, starting from the 15th of this month.”

That means Salah’s first Trabzonspor appearance, scheduled for 15 August against Kasımpasa, falls within the date given by beIN SPORTS for the start of its coverage.

The transfer marks the conclusion of Salah’s time in the English game after his move from Liverpool to Trabzonspor. The agreement is set to keep him at the Turkish club until 2028, while the team’s first fixture provides an immediate focus for supporters and broadcasters.

Trabzonspor’s preparations for the new season are being led by Tekke, who will oversee the side’s opening league match against Kasımpasa. Salah’s signing is expected to make the fixture one of the most closely followed games of the opening round, with beIN SPORTS set to provide live and exclusive coverage through its channels and TOD by beIN.

The move had not been widely anticipated before Trabzonspor confirmed it. Besiktas had been considered the leading contender during the short transfer battle, but Trabzonspor ultimately completed the agreement and secured Salah’s services on a long-term contract.

The club now turn their attention to the beginning of the 2026-27 season, with their meeting with Kasımpasa on 15 August set to open their Turkish league campaign and launch Salah’s new period under Tekke.
