Joshua Zirkzee transfer rumour: Manchester United forward linked with Napoli

Dutch-Nigerian forward Joshua Zirkzee is the subject of a reported move from Manchester United to Napoli.

The 25-year-old centre-forward joined Manchester United on 14 July 2024 and remains under contract with the Premier League club until 30 June 2029.

Zirkzee’s potential move would take him from England’s top flight to Serie A, with Napoli identified as the club interested in signing him. The rumour does not include a proposed transfer fee or indicate that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.

Zirkzee began his senior career at Bayern Munich and was part of the club’s Champions League-winning squad in 2019-20. He also won two German league titles, the German Cup and the German Super Cup during his time with the Bavarian club.

His individual honours include being named the best young player in 2024 while playing for Bologna. He is listed as a right-footed centre-forward and stands 1.93m tall.

Zirkzee’s current market value is listed at €20m, while his highest recorded value was €50m. However, there is no reported fee attached to the Napoli rumour.

For now, Zirkzee remains a Manchester United player, with his contract running through the end of June 2029.
