Luis Diaz backs Harry Kane for Ballon d’Or as Bayern Munich delegation arrives in London

Harry Kane has received fresh support from within Bayern Munich ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony, with team-mate Luis Diaz naming the England captain as his preferred winner.
Asked who he believed was most likely to claim the award, Diaz gave a quick and emphatic response.
“Favourite? Harry, always Harry,” he said, according to a video published on X by the El Chiringuito programme.
Kane and Diaz were among the Bayern Munich players who arrived in London with the club’s delegation. They were joined by Michael Olise, Dayot Upamecano, Lennart Karl and Klara Buhl.
Support for Kane extends beyond his team-mates. Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer and chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen are also part of the club delegation travelling to the British capital for the ceremony.
Their presence reflects the confidence within Bayern Munich that Kane can win the award.
A victory would make Kane the first Bayern Munich player to receive the Ballon d’Or since Karl-Heinz Rummenigge won it in 1981.
The club is also listed in relation to a German Cup fixture against Magdeburg on 28 October 2026.
