Enugu Rangers’ Godwin Obaje gears up for tough duel against Sporting Lagos

Enugu Rangers’ veteran striker, Godwin Obaje, acknowledges the potential challenges his side may face when they play against struggling Sporting Lagos in one of the Matchday 34 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) on Sunday.
The current league leaders will be guests to the Noisy Lagosians at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena as they aim to consolidate their top status on the log.
Sporting Lagos, on the other hand, are languishing in the bottom six of the table and will need to secure a win on Sunday to move clear of the relegation zone.
Obaje, who has scored 11 goals for Rangers this season, stated that the match will be difficult but believes the Coal City side has what it takes to leave Lagos unscathed.
“I am happy and grateful for how the season has been going for us, and I believe that we have what it takes to get a good result against Sporting Lagos,” Obaje said. “It will be a tough encounter, as no team is small in the premiership, but the unity in the team will see us through this fixture.”
Obaje is expected to lead the attack for Rangers in the match, relying on support from the likes of Kazeem Ogunleye, Chiedozie Okorie, Isaac Saviour, and Ejike Ugochukwu.
