Al-Ittihad agree deal for Feyenoord winger Anis Hadj Moussa on four-year contract

Al-Ittihad have agreed a deal with Feyenoord to sign Algeria winger Anis Hadj Moussa, according to reports in Saudi Arabia, with the 24-year-old set to sign a contract running for four years until 2030.

The agreement was reported by Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiyah, although the financial terms of the transfer have not been disclosed. French outlet Foot Mercato previously reported that Al-Ittihad had made a €30m offer to Feyenoord for Hadj Moussa.

The move would see the Saudi club add another attacking option after the departure of French winger Moussa Diaby. Diaby completed his transfer to German side Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday, and Al-Ittihad had been reported to be looking for a replacement during the current summer transfer window.

Hadj Moussa is expected to become Al-Ittihad’s fifth signing of the summer. The club have already brought in left-back Fares Abdi from Neom, while midfielders Rakan Kaabi, Mokhtar Ali and Senegal international Dion Lopy have also joined from Al-Fayha, Al-Ettifaq and Almeria respectively.

The reported agreement concludes a period of increased interest in the Feyenoord winger following an impressive campaign in the Netherlands. Hadj Moussa made 40 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 14 goals and providing seven assists.

His performances attracted attention from several clubs outside Saudi Arabia. French sides Lille and Marseille were both credited with an interest in the Algeria international, while Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon were also reported to have explored a possible move. None of those negotiations resulted in a transfer.

Al-Ittihad’s agreement with Feyenoord now gives the club the opportunity to secure one of the most productive wide players available to them in this transfer window. The reported four-year contract would keep Hadj Moussa at the Jeddah club until 2030, subject to the completion of the move.

The deal comes as Al-Ittihad continue to reshape their squad for the new season. Alongside the additions of Abdi, Kaabi, Ali and Lopy, the proposed arrival of Hadj Moussa would provide further competition and attacking depth on the wings.

Tickets for Roshn Saudi League matches are also on sale.
