Belgium star Mitchy Batshuayi relishes partnership with Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray

Belgium forward Mitchy Batshuayi is excited about the prospect of forming a potent attacking partnership with Nigeria international Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray.

With the long-term injury to Galatasaray’s captain, Mauro Icardi, Batshuayi has stepped into a key attacking role for the Turkish giants, and he believes his combination with Osimhen will be a strong one.

Batshuayi spoke highly of Osimhen’s abilities, particularly his aerial prowess, while stressing his own technical skills.

“Victor is good at aerial balls because he is tall,” Batshuayi told media. “He also makes deep runs, while I am good technically on my side.”

He added that he is adaptable to playing either as a sole forward or in a two-striker formation, and he is confident that their complementary qualities will have a significant impact in matches.

Batshuayi’s technical brilliance was on display when he scored the lone goal in Galatasaray’s 1-0 victory over Bodrum.

The win took the Yellow and Reds to 34 points from 12 matches, maintaining their strong position in the Turkish Super League.
