Tino Anjorin joins Goztepe from Torino on loan

England and Nigeria midfielder Tino Anjorin has joined Turkish Super Lig club Goztepe from Torino on loan.

The 24-year-old central midfielder switches clubs after beginning the 2026-27 season in Italy, where he made one appearance in the Coppa Italia for Torino.

Anjorin’s move to Goztepe is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, with the player due to return to Torino at the end of the loan. He joined the Serie A club permanently from Empoli on 1 July 2026 in a €4.5m transfer.

The move to Turkey gives Anjorin a new chapter after two spells with Empoli and Torino. He initially joined Empoli from Chelsea on a free transfer in August 2024, before moving to Torino on loan for the 2025-26 season. Empoli then returned him to their squad at the end of that loan, ahead of his permanent transfer to Torino.

Born in Poole, Anjorin came through Chelsea’s youth system and progressed from the club’s academy to its under-23 side. He spent time on loan at Lokomotiv Moscow and Huddersfield before joining Portsmouth during the 2023-24 campaign.

Anjorin helped Portsmouth win the English third tier in 2023-24, returning to Chelsea’s under-21 side at the end of that campaign. He also won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2020-21, although the available career record does not include a senior appearance total for that competition.

The midfielder was part of Chelsea’s under-18 side that won both the English Youth League and FA Youth Cup in 2017-18. He is listed as 1.86m tall and prefers his right foot.

Goztepe have secured Anjorin’s services as he moves from Serie A to the Turkish top flight, with the loan agreement taking effect on 4 September 2026.
